This gorgeous ranch style property is built on a 2,500m2 garden in the coastal village of Galizano, 10km from Santander and in the county of Ribamontan al Mar, a region of gentle hills, lush meadows and forests. There is a rich gastronomy in this area with fish such as grilled sea bass, bream or percebes. Within 5 minutes walk is a local restaurant called 'La General', and within 5-10 minutes is another restaurant called 'Maria Isabel' plus two supermarkets, a bakers and a newspaper shop.

The nearest beach is 15-20 minutes walk from the house and is located between a wooded area of eucalyptus trees and lovely green meadows. There are plenty of other beaches between 1 and 2km from the house such as Langre, considered one of the most scenic beaches of Cantabria, La Capilla, Armillas, Canalema, El Manchon and Puntal. The beach of Somo is a 4 mile long sandy beach across the bay from Santander with fantastic waves for surfing. There are also two golf courses nearby: one at Pedrena (8km) at which there uis also a picturesque small harbour, and one at Aguero (10km).

DETAILS OF ACCOMMODATION

You enter the house via a terraced area with a table and chairs making it the ideal spot at meal times. On entering the house, there is an ample hall; to the left is a triple bedroom with 3 single beds and a shower room/wc. There is a well equipped kitchen; it has gas cooker, electric oven, fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave plus a table and chairs. This kitchen is connected with the living room which has a sofa, a dining table with chairs and a TV.
Stairs lead to the upper floor. On this level is the spacious master double bedroom with a balcony overlooking the garden and an en-suite bathroom/wc. There is a twin bedroom, a childs bedroom with 2 single beds (both rooms with views over the garden) plus a bathroom with shower, bath and wc; adjacent to this is a sitting room with a double sofa bed.
The garden has spacious lawns; it is well looked after, with a outdoor barbecue area and outdoor furniture. The garden has plenty of fruit trees and safe open spaces for children to run around in. The swimming pool is located at the far end of the garden and is 8m x 4m (depth 1.2m to 1.9m); it has a fenced surround for child security and can be lit up at night.
