Finca el Pinar is a group of 3 individually sited houses set in a pine grove in the village of Carandia and only 15km from the beautiful beaches of Suances, Liencres and Mogro. Spanish Affair has the use of one of the houses by the poolside, all of them separated from each other by pines and a mature hedge.
Apart from relaxing by the pool and extensive grounds, clients may be tempted by many interesting excursions and activities: the Park at Cabarceno with free-roaming animals perfect for a family day trip, surfing at Suances, salt-water fishing in Laredo, or for a sophisticated evening try Santander with its cafés, restaurants and casino. There is a typical Cantabrian restaurant, ‘L’Argolla’, in the village within 5 minutes walk. Renedo (3km) has shops for daily needs; Torrelavega, the second largest city in Cantabria is just 10 minutes drive, has a hypermarket, all kind of shops, restaurants and a really interesting livestock market. The National Park of Picos de Europa is a must, cotaining the highest peaks in the Cantabrian mountains, has elevations up to more than 2,500 metres, is one of the most beautiful scenaries in northen Spain.

Details of Accommodation

Each house has wi-fi internet access and the same layout. You enter across a covered veranda with table and chairs outside into a spacious living/dining room with a sofa bed and a door to the kitchen with fridge-freezer, electric oven and hob, microwave and dishwasher. Across the hallway is the bathroom with bath (shower over), WC, bidet, basin, and washing machine and dryer. Leading off to the left is one double bedroom and one twin bedroom and a third bedroom with bunk beds.There is a satellite TV, dvd player, music system and internet connection in the property.

The 12m x 6m swimming pool with safety fencing and child’s pool area is shared with the other houses. There is a barbecue and poolside loggia. The owners, whose property borders the grounds, will give you lots of information on the area.

The garden is perfect for families with children; it has a wendy house full of toys and a mini ‘arcade’ with some computer games, an American billiard table and some pinball machines. The river Pas, famous for its trout and salmon fishing, runs at the end of the garden. Here there is a stone mirador; the perfect spot to watch the river and drink a glass of wine as the sun goes down.
