With a mountain backdrop, L’Ullal lies amongst a pine wood. The garden is magnificent with woods, grass, statues and artefacts, illuminated at night. What could be better than watching the mountain hues change at sunset from the terrace. From the house you can stroll to the bars and restaurants of Puerto Pollenca and the beautiful white sandy beaches around the bay. Try ‘Los Faroles’ fish restaurant and ‘La Lonja’ in the Club Nautico in the immediate area; visit ‘La Fonda’ in the old town of Pollenca near the square, and the varied restaurants overlooking the water at Cala St. Vicenc. The house is home from home – it is close to the hub and yet far removed enough to feel cocooned.
Details of Accommodation
On the ground floor of the house, from the hall, the living room is to the left – this is a very comfortable room with two sofas, a fireplace, satellite TV, matting on the tiled floor, and view to the pool; it leads into the dining room, a fairly traditionally furnished room with modern art on the walls. There is then a less formal living area adjoining the kitchen; here there is L shaped seating, TV and a peninsular separating the kitchen area which has pine units, marble worktops, combination hob, electric oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave. A door leads out to a small terrace and beyond that is the utility area with washing machine and a cloakroom with basin and WC. From the kitchen another door leads out to the covered terrace with a long refectory table and benches with a summer kitchen area incorporating barbecue, hob, sink and worktops; this is where most of the mealtimes will be enjoyed, overlooking the pool, garden, and mountains.
On the ground level is a double bedroom and a single bedroom which share a bathroom with hip bath, basin in vanity unit, and WC. Stairs lead up to a twin bedroom and a double bedroom which share a bathroom; this has dark blue sanitaryware comprising of bath with shower over, basin in vanity unit and WC.
A further twin bedroom has views across the garden and fitted wardrobes and this has an en-suite bathroom – bath with shower over, twin basins set in a unit, WC and bidet. Another bedroom also looking to the garden has a large double bed, with shower room with shower, WC and basin. All bedrooms have air-conditioning.
The 14m x 6m swimming pool has steps down and is surrounded by expansive lawn and trees giving shade and privacy. Cleaning and a cook are available on request, payable locally.
