El Rosario stands in a large, mature garden, with lovely views over the valley. It is a very private house, being slightly offset from the road, in the countryside, about 4km from the town of Ronda. This is a family home which is both compact and comfortable.
Ronda is a lively town with lovely old buildings, the famous bridge, and the bullring. It captures the flavour of true Spain. There are restaurants and bars aplenty, shops and supermarkets. From here, there are excellent roads to the coast (50 minutes), Seville (75 minutes), Jerez (75 minutes) and Granada (2 hours).
Details of Accommodation
You enter into a L-shaped living area. Comfortable sofas and chairs surround the fireplace, there is a satellite TV, the ceiling is beamed, and the house has terracotta tiled floors throughout. There is an oak dining table, with tile inlay and eight chairs in traditional Spanish style.
The kitchen, tiled in blue and white, has a double sink, gas cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave, washing machine and a small table and stools in the centre. To the right of the living area are two bedrooms and a bathroom. One has a double bed and pretty blue and white drapes, the other has twin beds with floral bedcovers. The bathroom is in bold blue and white tiles from Granada and has a bath with shower over, bidet, toilet and vanity unit.
To the left of the living area is another bedroom with twin beds and a shower room adjoining, with a toilet, shower and basin. A spiral staircase leads up to the tower where there is another twin-bedded room and lovely views around the countryside. (A folding bed and cot are also available.)
The swimming pool is 10m x 5m and has steps down. At one end is a pergola with table and chairs, and there are additional seating areas around the pool and garden, plus a barbecue. The owner has made a small ornamental water garden, illuminated at night; there is a fruit orchard and behind the house, a sports area and 7-hole mini-golf. The garden has lawns and tall, well established trees for shade. There is also a garage. This is a very good house for winter as it has full central heating to warm any chilly nights.
