A good example is Barbate and Caños de Meca with exceptionally beautiful beaches, with natural springs and numerous pine groves, just 15 minutes drive away. You should also venture into the Sierra de los Pueblos Blancos in the interior where the land is draped in olive groves against a stunning mountain backdrop. All along the coast are bars and restaurants near to your Costa de la Luz accommodation. Oils, cured meats (likethe superb Jabugo Ham) seafood, fried fish are part of the local diet often served with sherry - the “wine” of the region. During your Costa de la Luz holiday you must tour the triangle of Jerez, San Lucar de Barrameda and El Puerto de Santa Maria.
